How can I put this, my ex, who has been witholding my daughter from me(she is a jambo) is now going out with a guy called dylan. Anyway, last night, derek riordan was out, dont know where, he approached her and told her he had grown up with this dylan and they had a chat, he supposedly told her he was going to blackpool next season and that he would have been there already if his bird hadnt had a baby. Now, first off, derek I hope ur happy telling jambos ur off at the end of the season yet not having the baws to come out and tell us- ur wage payers- apart from that I jus want my hibs family to know I think deek is a fantastic striker and would love to keep him, secondly I know she wasnt lying, she took great pride in spouting this, third, anyone that does know him, is this true?? Anyone else heard this??.

I spoke to Ian Holloway last Sept/Oct in an airport in London when we were both waiting on a flight, and asked him about the rumour that Blackpool were interested in Derek last August, but Holloway said that Riordan was not good enough or has a hard enough work ethic, to play for Blackpool, and I don't think Deek's has got any better since then, :wink:

Blackpool aren't even sure what League they are going to be in next season.

If they stay up I think they will need better than Deek to have a chance of doing so again, especially as Charlie Adam will move on.

Even if its true you will get over it, just like the rest of us will.

I have just spoken to Dylan, as he lives 4 doors down form me and i asked him how he got on last night and how the conversation with Deek and the yamish burd went, i also asked could he shed any light on the Deeks going to Blackpool story......

He looked at me as if i were a complete fruticake, asked me what the **** i was talking about, if i had been drinking or needed a lie down. He couldnt seem to understand or indeed put yamish burd, deeko to Blackpool and hibs.net together amid my frantic mouth frothing and violent arm gesticulations.......

I must point out though i do live in Dublin and Dylan is the wee laddie with the ginger hair at the top of my street...... Does this make any difference to the OP???

i'm sorry hibee4life1983...i just couldn't resist it as you gave me so much ammunition i thought it would be a shame to not at least attempt to get a laugh out of it...i know your daughters name is not relevant to the story and i sort of guessed that you probably had phone contact with her, maybe she even texts you like her mum?...i'm sure you came on with genuine intentions but you have to appreciate that the story has a touch of the jeremy kyles about it...the drunken ex girlfriend, the wayward professional footballer, the withheld daughter, the new boyfriend, the all night boozing sessions, the inability to spell even the most basic words in anything other than textspeak...it all adds up to a classic dysfunctional british 'slice of life' type parable so beloved by the daytime valium addicted audiences that gorge themselves on the petty problems of the under educated, unemployable, drink and drug addled claimant classes...as i enjoy watching these type of shows for research purposes i couldn't help but think your story had a familiar ring to it...again, i apologise if i've caused any offence...oh,is your daughter called britainny or kylie by any chance?
