I am currently in the lead in a sweepstake in my work with The Jumps coupon that ends after Cheltenham.

Champion Hurdle - Hurricane Fly to win, but i want Binocular or Peddlars cross
Gold Cup - Long Run will win
Queen Mother - Master Minded will win
World Hurdle - Big Bucks will win

All in my opinion off course.

I tipped Long Run on here last year, hes certainly improved a lot in the last 12 months, Ive got a wee feeling he prefers flatter tracks, hope he wins tho!

Have I got the Paddy Power deal advertised.
Put on a £50 bet and they will give you another one.
They are also saying that they will refund losing bets if Cue Card wins it's race at Cheltenham. So if I bet £50 on Cue Card to win I win. If I bet any other horse in the race they refund the bet if Che Card wins. And then I get a free £50 bet too?
Is this right?

It's right enough. Stuck £50 in an account but couldn't wait till Cheltenham. Put it onLuke Donald to win at Doral on Sunday. Lost.
Thought about it after I did it and stuck the £50 free bet on Nick Watney to have the best 4th round out if the top six starters. I should have looked into it more because the only way both bets could have been up was for Donald to win it in a play off with Watney. ( dead heat rules apply apparently) anyhoo tocut a long story short I am about £110 up. I stuck £16 on there being more than 2 goals in the Norwich game tonight so the balance us now £177. I have just stuck £27 on Spirit Son at Cheltenham. If Cue Card wins I get my dosh back. If niether win the account is getting closed and I will trouser £100.

Anyone back a winner today?

I had £2.50 ew on Spirit Son in the first. Made me a massive 94p.
Then I had £2.97 ew on Realt Dubh on the next. Made me £4.42.
Stuck £4.42 on Sunnyhillboy in the next. It fell.
Then £5 on Hurricane fly in the champion Hurdle. Won me £16.67

One more bet and thats La Vecchia Scuola. £2.50 e/w @16's.

First day profit. Happy days

Had the winners in the first two races. 1.30 (Al Ferof) and 2.05 (Captain Chris)

Lost on the next three races with Sunnyhill Boy, Oscar Whisky and Gullible Gordon.

Still well up for the day though. :greengrin

I don't really have a punt on the horses other than at the "big events" so not really sure how roll up accumulators, etc work.

If for example I wanted to put 5 horses to finish E/W today but i only wanted 1 stake and for it to roll up like a football accumulator, what do i put on my slip? How then would the returns work?

my guess would be I would get the 1/4 odds then they would accumulate all the way to the final race. If, however, one or two won whilst the rest placed how would it work??

Your bet is split into 2 parts, bet 1 a win roll up, bet 2 a place roll up. As soon as 1 of your 5 doesn't win bet 1 is a loser. Bet 2 keeps going as long as your horses win or place but you only get paid for the place.

Did better today than yesterday but that isn't saying much. Not quite into a 3 figure loss for the first two days.
Tomorrow is another day and I'm looking out my lucky pants.

I had a nightmare today. After 5 winners yesterday, i was hoping i could keep the streak going. But only one for me today.

Was having a nightmare today then Carlito Brigante got me out of jail big time.

Chartreux in the first tomorrow, other than that, very tricky.

I did a tenner each way double yesterday on first luitenant and sizing Europe. Both came first at 7s and 10s netting me a huge 976.25!!!

Today I'm on noble prince 1.30. Poquelin 2.40 and big bucks 3.20.

I don't expect the same luck as yesterday but you never know!!

Looked strong from the start.

Thought Poquelin was going to get involved with about 4 or 5 jumps to go but only ran in fits and starts, disappointing.

Same with me, and the one that let us down comes 4th, gutting! I had a single on big bucks which covered my treble loss and made a few pennies. Also stuck 5ew on faasel in the 4.40. Came second at 20/1.

Another successful day, still gutted about the treble tho!

So whats everyone thinking for the Gold cup?

I'm fancying Imperial Commnder for the win and Long Run as an each way shot but haven't decided yet. Any tips? Inside info?

I'm just about to have a look just now. I know Imperial Commander is big fav at 4's but I am always wary when it's the favourite. Might not be able to see past him though, and put him in a double with something each way possibly.

Will let you know what I go for

1:30 - Unnaccompanied
2:05 - Get Me Out Of Here e/w

Not got a clue for the gold cup yet. So tight. After all the betting this week i'm only at £3 up for the festival so today is make or break!

1.30 - ZARKANDER - 10er EW.

I quite fancied Midnight Chase as a decent ew bet in The Gold Cup, but, the value seems to have gone since Templegate napped it in The Sun! :grr:

Its actually a very tricky race that should probably be left alone as there are questions marks over most of the leading fancies.

The 2 Nicholls horses are getting on a bit, I don't think Long Run likes the course and Imperial Commander has had in interupted preparation for the race due to a wee injury before Xmas.

This is ridiculous, get me out of here down from 14s to 7s. Fortunetly i got him at 14s but cannot understand why. I reckon he has been tipped up when he doesnt have a chance so that the other horses with the chance will drift.

Just about level over the week. I always have a brilliant tuesday, but a bad rest of the week. This year was no different with me turning a huge profit on tuesday followed by a massive wednesday loss and an indifferent thursday and friday. Still, it's the best racing a guy could wish for.

What a complete eff up that was! I had selected gee-gees from an old cached page on my BlackBerry :faf: only one of the 9 above ran in the right race on the right day .. And it won! So I've got 2 void bets, and a 3rd is a winner by default :faf: I managed to get a mate to void today's bets, and stuck the stake on Zarkandar  Finished the week well up - by sheer luck! :faf:

Just discovered I had a winner on wednesday in Carlito Brigante!! Forgot I'd bet on it! 2.50 e/w at 16/1 wasn't bad at all!

Add to having first and second in the champion hurdle on tuesday it wasn't a bad week for me!
