Any good?

I think even Michael Schumacher would struggle to get from Perth to Edinburgh in 15 minutes.

I'd give it a bit of time before asking that! :greengrin

Some nice touches, especially when he drifted out to the left. A couple of really good balls that were just a wee bit too clever for who they were meant for.

Looks like he'll do a good job when he's running at defenders.

I thought it was a good debut tbf, looks pretty fast and very silky, Dont think him and Sodje will work too great but Riordan and VT would pair up well.

Anyonw know why Riordan was hooked at half time?

Looks a very good acquisition, good with ball at his feet, good pace, different style to Sodje and Riordan. With Duffy looking decent when he came on, we now have good options up front now.

The boy needs game time to work on his match fitness, but I think he showed up no bad. We could really do with a competitve friendly next Saturday though. We can't let him get up to speed in real time games.

First impression for me is he will do well in Scotland. Linked up well with Sodje

I thought he looked good, actually gave us some threat going forward. Think we were all over the place in terms of formation, so he was drifting about a bit, but delivered a few very good balls into the box and he was very unlucky with a shot after the Saints keeper made a right arse of things.

He was making good runs as well that the rest of the players werent picking up on, one more pass and he would have been in on a couple of occasions. Given time and if he keeps his head right, could be another very good addition by CC.

It just wasn't his day. He was not contributing much at in the first half. I can't say i was surprised he didn't come out for the second half.

Vaz Te looked like a class act. Most impressed.

At first I was watching him warm up and wondered what the hell was going on. When he ran about he looked like someone who was already knackered or like he had never worn football boots before or they were made of lead. . He looked like could hardly lift his feet or his knees were tied together.

( he was just conserving energy)

I was very wrong !! **sorry matey **
:agree:

I really like what i saw of this guy. Good touches, held the ball up well and not afraid to have a go....... and he had a fair turn of speed too. He was a bit frustrated because others around him didnt seem to making runs or passes he expected.... he let them know too.

We got ourselves a striker methinks !!

I really like this guy.

It was hardly a 'De Gaff'! First time effort from 45 yards, inches wide! From BBC website:

"The Portuguese then latched on to a poor kick-out from St Johnstone keeper Peter Enckleman but his first-time effort from 45 yards bobbled inches wide of an empty net. "

Well if the radio said it i'll just ignore what i saw with my own eyes then.

It was a tough 'chance', it may have been an empty net but he didn't have a lot of time and was about 50 yards out. As for Deek scoring that chance, he probably wouldn't have been in the position to get the chance, he was brutal yesterday in the 1st half as he has been for the most part all season. He really needs to get the finger out soon and be the plyer we know he can be.

Back to Vaz Te, he looked decent. He was lively, looked to get involved, made some nice passes, a few good crosses and made 1 or 2 very intelligent runs. Looks like he'll be a player when he gets up to speed.

Kaiser1962

Those of us who were there thought it was a good piece piece of improvisation and vision which almost came off. Those that watched it on the wireless thought it was an open goal.

Thought he was good and I would get him signed up BUT there is always a risk especially with the guys injury record. It may well be the medical staff that have the biggest input in this one.

While folk are drawing the Agathe analogy who would have thought when he signed him he would do so well?

Thats ridiculous by the commentators then, wasnt an easy chance, let alone for someone who had just came on.

He got the flick on by Sodje after a poor kick out, but sure he was a bit off balance and he had St Johnstone players around him, was hardly the 'open goal' thats been suggested. Given all that as well, he was very unlucky it didnt go in, was bobbling all over the place with that pitch.

He was about 40 yards from goal! It was a great piece of improvisation, resulting from a cock up by Saints keeper Enckleman. Line of the shot not helped by that surface - quite obvious that the land once belonged to Farmer MacDiarmid!

I'm trying to be optimistic but I am failing miserably :)

He is utter pish tbh.

I maybe a bit more sensitive about this because the Bolton fans I know are pissing their pants laughing at this signing.

The fans comment was a bit Tongue in cheek. I have watched this lad at various levels over the last 7 or 8 seasons. Youth levels, reserves, full team. Watched him battle back from injury. Noted his attitude. Shared information with his various coaches over the years and managers. In my opinion he is not for us.

Look if he proves himself here and sets the Heather on fire I'll be delighted, I really will. This boy had more talent than most players you would see at 16, 17, 18 and 19/20.

I just feel a lot of folk on here are getting carried away on half a dozen clips on you tube. Somebody had mentioned that he is on a pay per play deal at ER. If this is true, then it is the right approach IMO.

It Is interesting that nobody questions his short term stint in Greece....cancelled contracts after 3 months...

That will explain the partisan comments, the sighs of frustration as another St. Johnstone attack broke down and the shrieks of disbelief that the Super J's weren't three up within 20 minutes.

The BBC should think long and hard on who they send to some of these fixtures.
