Pretty scathing attack on Houllier, Aston Villa, Ireland and the city of Birmingham.

He'll do well at Newcastle.

Interesting that he doesn't think it's worth playing for Ireland as they'll "never win the World Cup".

If everyone felt the same you'd only have about 8 international teams in the world.

Don't his comments kind of underpin one of the main issues with the English game just now in that there is a distinct move away from following your local team and instead backing a top EPL team. We have had it up here for ages but for more sinister reasons that pot-chasing.

The guy is a complete welt and I would imagine(no sourse whatsoever)that he has behaved like the ***** he is at training and thats why he is out of favour. It wont be due to his footballing ability as he is a good player.

Folk moan about footballers coming out with the usual bland nonsense but then moan when someone tells the truth. Ireland seems a complete twat but I think it's quite refreshing to hear a footballer say what he really thinks.

He's a good player though. Obviously a bit of an arse but there will always be a Premiership team happy to have him.

Now he is saying that his words were twisted and he said nothing like what is being reported.

I agree, refreshing to hear such honesty, especially concerning International team.
