I missed the first couple of episodes in the series but am so glad I caught tonights...darkly hilarious throughout.

Glad to hear it. I've got it on series record as I've liked what he's done before, just haven't got round to watching any of it yet.

He's a lot funnier than many stand ups around at the moment.

I thought he was different class last night. There's times even I find him too cynical, but his take on the modern culture of celebrity was spot on IMO. So funny as well.

Everytime I watch Brooker I spend most of the evening nodding in agreement with everything he says and laughing. I must look like a human Churchill dog, perched on my sofa like a pathetic servile TV-obsessed automaton:grr: (my best Brooker voice).

My favourite bit was the critique of the Changing Rooms/Grand Designs genre. He hates them so much, you can almost taste it:greengrin

Got this on series record as i missed the 1st couple of episodes and didn't want to start watching halfway throughthe series.

Looking forward to it as i generally enjoy anything Brooker does. Newswipe, Gameswipe and Screenwipe were all excellent. His columns in the Guardian are usually well worth a read as well. I believe he also had a handing in writing a couple of episodes of Brass Eye a few years ago now.

I used to really like everything Charlie Brooker did, but the channel 4 programme he did a while back ('you have been watching'?) really put me off him. The early episodes of 'screenwipe' were absolutely tremendous viewing as he was an outsider poking fun at the closed club. After the channel 4 programme, for me, he became a fully paid-up member of the club he had been ridiculing previously.
