Has anyone eaten here?
It's 6th out of 790 restuarants in Edinburgh on tripadvisor (http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186525-d1159538-Reviews-Wildfire-Edinburgh_Scotland.html), so I guess it's almost a stick on to be excellent, but I'd appreciate any first hand info too.

Highly overrated. They'll be pleased with the Gordon Ramsay publicity, but a few folk I know who run Chinese restaurants in Edinburgh think it's very overrated.
Saigon Saigon, on the other hand...

Have never eaten there personally but know several people who have and I have only ever heard positive comments about it.

Chop Chop is superb in my opinion but not if you're looking for the usual array of gloopy dishes and westernised favourites that most chinese restaurants serve.

Not really surprising that other restaurant owners would make negative comments about Chop Chop, they are competition after all...

Not the most sulubrious of surroundings but it is the closest to authentic Chinese we've got here.
Doesn't beat the Nam Kee in Amsterdam but it's decent.
