Well we have the weekend off so to pass the time I thought this might be a laugh.

Let's assemble a team full of players that were linked to us but never came, ideally the most crazy rumours :greengrin

Off the top of my head we have the infamous Reyes, Cruyff and this last transfer windows mention of the legend that is Hernan Crespo.

Lexo on the lookout for a big target man is to make an £800,000 swoop for Norn Iron International Colin Clarke.

Shoot! ran with that story twice in the 80's. We'd never spent more than £300,000 up until then so it was a big story (especially for a huddy)

In the end, we got a much cheaper huddy for the 'target man' role by the name of Houchen.
