:agree:

Didn't ever look in real trouble. We looked more settled and assured as a team, midfielders who know how to tackle, a striker who wins headers and can hold up the ball.

We looked a different team basically :greengrin

Cool, i only heard one report from Stuart Lovell on SSN he basically said that St Mirren were coming back into the game and that Liam Miller played a great ball through to Nish who stood on the ball when clean through... LOL

Not brilliant, but much much better. Palsson and Sodje were revelations. Sodje jumps! In the air, towards the sky! To be nearer the ball!

Yes and no. We were spirited and competitive. Some understandable mistakes but all the signings looked good. No bad performances and Riordan, Booth and Hanlon were all great. Wotherspoon was brilliant at times and daft at others.
Are we suddenly a good side? Not yet but we do have some good players. Ground was a lot less morgue like and the East sounded quite loud. Well done the singing lads.

We were as good as we could be under the cirumstances.

The new players all are very good in different ways, Deek, Miller, Murray, Booth, Hanlon, Wotherspoon, Stack, all players we currently had on our books all look more motivated and look like they can all stay on and be part of the future.

We were calm and worked hard, only pure bad luck would have seen anything bar a win tonight, Great work by all the playing staff :flag:

Sublime bit of skill near the end in their box to get to the byeline.

Yes.....

Took us about 15 mins to get going I thought. After that it was all Hibs with sporadic forays up the park from St Mirren.

Night and Day.....I repeat...Night and Day:)

Picture a cross between the current Barcelona team and the Ajax of the early seventies..........but with Nish on the bench.

Watched on Hibernian TV so couldn`t really savour atmosphere and missed first 15 minutes cause of work but am very surprised by positive comments on other threads on board . Actually thought it was one of our worst home performances this season but we were playing against a very poor side and got bits of luck we haven`t had in other matches . First goal gave us confidence and forced St Mirren to leave gaps at back . Also meant crowd wasn`t on backs of players like in other games . Thought Miller was excellent when he came on and really hope we can keep him since unless there are some big signings in summer ( unlikely given that we have noone else to sell for a lot and season ticket numbers will be down ) ět`s beginning to look like next season will be one where top 6 is going to be considered success and results will ttake priority over performance ( if we stay up of course ! ) .

Couldn't agree less-it was actually one of our best home performances with plenty of effort.Far from being lucky we were unlucky as St.Mirren got bodies in front of efforts on goal without knowing much about it.Could it be that St.Mirren were poor because we didn't let them play?

I was there and can safely say Hibs were far better than just about every other home game we have played. We were in control on the game and gave them nothing really. Had the odd blip but Palsson is a real find if he can perform like that each week. Yes St. Mirren are poor but a poor side can still win games if given the chance and we gave then nothing. Well done boys, huge win and one that has lifted the mood big time.

Of course our players deserve credit for not letting St M play - lets hope we can do the same against better teams and before next season we can recruit good enough players to have a team which will make opposition worry about trying to stop us playing .

I thought it was probably our best home performance this season. Big difference for me was we had a bit of power in the midfield and we played the game wide. Something that hasn't been seen much since the very early stages of Hughes reign. Lots of getting to the byeline - on both wings - and firing balls into the box. All of the new boys looked good, Callum Booth grows with every game and I personally was glad to see Stack back.
