Surely losing Zemmama, Bamba on fees, loaning DeGraaf and releasing Hogg we must have some money to get a striker (Rooney)?

Still remember a few derbies ago when Hoggy was playing with a wrapped up arm and everytime he went into a challenge he'd be near tears with the pain. A true professional just a shame he wasn't very good towards the end. Good luck Chris :agree:

Well we are extremely short of centre halves with Hogg and Bamba away. If we don't bring in a new centre half then Calderwood is making a massive mistake.

I would be expecting a minimum of two half decent in (Centre half and striker). If not we are very light squad and quality wise IMO.

An inexperienced CH who hasn't featured yet isn't a comfort in all honesty.

Surely he's not showing enough in training to oust the likes of Dickoh/Hanlon - that in itself raises a whole new set of concerns.

Zidane- £45M
Ibrahimovic- £50+M

Why is the Hibs official website always the last place that tells anyone anything about what's happening at the club?

That's de Graaf, Zemmama and Hogg all away and Divis has come in and not one of these moves have been mentioned on the official site.

I know someone said that Hibs may be awaiting the confirmation of other departures or other signings and just mention them all in one go later on tonight but I think the Hibs website should be the first place to reveal a player leaving the club or one coming in.

There's been no news story added to the website since the match report from yesterday. There haven't even been any interviews from Calderwood or any of the players about the match.

I know there's this train of thought that we could be waiting to announce a few deals but why would we do that? I don't really see what benefit would come from announcing them all at once? If anything i thought it'd be better for media exposure for each player to be announced individually.

I don't mind seeing stories on here or other forums saying that a player is close to signing or will sign tomorrow etc.

It's when a deal has actually been completed and officially announced on the selling/buying team's website (as is the case with Zemmama and Hogg today) and has been announced on media websites like the BBC and Sky Sports, without any mention on our website, that really annoys me.

I will be gutted if the best we can do are last minute nobodies or worse still no-one at all.

A blind man could see what our problems are and rather than playing hard ball for a few measly quid and risk getting stiffed at the end, the whole thing should have been boxed off much earlier.

On the other hand, we rarely know anything about Hibs signing players until they are announced.

The fact that the club tends to publish all it's deadline day news at once on the website and hasn't done so yet, despite the Divis, Zouma and Hogg news being hours ago now leads me to hope we aren't done yet.

To be honest our need is so great that its absolutely scandalous we are sitting at this stage hoping they can pull a rabbit out the hat.

I will be gutted if the best we can do are last minute nobodies or worse still no-one at all.

A blind man could see what our problems are and rather than playing hard ball for a few measly quid and risk getting stiffed at the end, the whole thing should have been boxed off much earlier.

Our failure to do so effectively burnt 6 potential points from Utd & Well and saw us getting pumped out a wide open cup by Ayr FFS

Much more concerned about a CH, you don't lose games if you don't lose goals. Choose a partnership out of this lot and try and tell me how we will keep a clean sheet: Hanlon, Dickho, Murray & Stevens. Its frightening that CC & Petrie can be remotely confident that they can suddenly stop conceeding goals.

If you can score goals you can win games. On the other hand if you can't score then you're royally ducked. I'd rather we had a striker that can score and win games 3-2 or draw 2-2 etc than draw 0 - 0 every game or, as we're not known for ever being able to defend well, lose 1 - 0.

last player to come to scotland from tenerife was suso 'the waiter' santana.

Really hope our signing(if he has signed) is a far better standard!

Mystified as to why Webster would go back there, though I would suspect they'd be more than willing to pay his big salary when no other club that would be in for him would.

Still, pretty strange really.

This man will be a Hibs player later tonight

HIBERNIAN are hoping to conclude a deal for Charlton striker Akpo Sodje before the January transfer window closes tonight.
The Addicks forward was told last week by boss Chris Powell that he could leave The Valley after the recent arival of Bradley Wright-Phillips and Nathan Eccleston on loan from Liverpool.
And the South London Press understands that SPL outfit Hibs are closing in on an agreement for Sodje.
