Pa Broon was quoted in the Press & Journal this week as saying he has an agreement to bring in a premiership player who would be starting one of the FA cup games this weekend. A few of my Aberdeen supporting friends think they have it on good authority that its going to be Gabriel Obertan.....I said it was **** but they are convinced. Egg on the face on Tuesday?

Man Utd have put out eleven players but not obvious so far that they have put out a team.

Blackpool were fined in the week for changing 10 players in their squad from a previous match - Man Utd have made 9 for this game, but undoubtedly won't be punished.

Man Utd (vs Blackpool): Van der Saar, Evra, Smalling, Vidic, Rafael, Nani, Scholes, Fletcher, Gibson, Berbatov, Rooney

Man Utd (vs Southampton): Lindegaard, O'Shea, Evans, Smalling, Fabio Da Silva, Gibson, Anderson, Scholes, Obertan, Hernandez, Owen

It's a stupid law, but why do the likes of Man Utd and Arsenal get away with this, whereas clubs like Wolves, Wigan and Blackpool get punished for it?

its the premier league that fined them, not the FA.

Ahhh - I thought all clubs/competitions in England were governed by the FA - didn't realise they had different governing bodies for different competitions to be honest.

Ah well, here's hoping it bites them in the erse then.

No doubt Berbatsloth and Rooney will come of the bench and they'll end up winning 2 or 3-1 in the end

That strip reminds me of Peru and the gubbing they gave us in the 1978 World Cup.

Who missed a penalty for Scotland with the score either 0-0 or 0-1?

Can't recall the last time I saw Terry going down without any contact and rolling 7 or 8 times, only to bounce back up as soon as his opponent was booked, but I'll take your word for it :greengrin

Simply watching the usual suspects get their kicks before showing them how silly they look once the champions win yet again.

Sing when you're winning indeed. Hence why Man Utd fans' voices sound hoarse this season.

You've not exactly had a difficult path thus far right enough, playing dross like Southampton and Liverpool (even then, you needed to cheat to win).

Hopefully you get Arsenal at the Emirates in the next round

Yes good point but I would think the ugly sisters do have supporters travelling from North/South Ireland.

What I've noticed about lower league English teams that it seems to be England first then club second, can't work this out as they are not a force in world football are they?
