I'm going to Rome with my girlfriend this weekend and I'm tempted to drag her to the game.

Does anyone know how much the tickets are, where you get them and what the best place is to sit(ideally avoiding any nutters)?

I probably should have mentioned that I looked at the site. It means nothing to me though as I don't speak Italian.

Maybe be some forums somewhere to tell you where/where not to sit!!

You'll need a ticket of an official source. Went to Roma v Parma in December 09 and got tickets outside ground but we were lucky we even got in cause your ID has to match name on ticket or they refuse entry (tightening up cause of the nutters). It was a nightmare finding ticket office as everyone outside stadium couldnt speak english or just took mick because we were tourists.

Best advice probably to find out where ticket office is exactly and leave early. We missed first 15 when went over there. Definitely try and make it as outstanding stadium and some great wee pizza stalls outside it :greengrin

PS: Don't sit in curva nord or curva sud. Full of bams. Best either side of pitch.

Went to the exact game last year when over for the rugby.

You must get a ticket, and need to show your passport/Id when purchasing the ticket.

We got them from From the 'Original Fans Lazio' shop (formerly 'Lazio Point') in Via Farini (very near Stazione Termini, just off via Cavour). They sell merchandise and tickets.

See http://www.footballinrome.co.uk/tickets.html

You pay your money (20 euro I think) then they tell you to come back the next day to collect tickets. They may be able to print tickets if it is matchday.

Make sure you take your id with you to the game, as they will check. (two of our group didn't and only got in because they had their ehic cards with them).

Hope this helps.

As others have said... make SURE you have your passport when you get tickets and go to the game.

Went to Roma v Lecce in October, we had a nightmare getting tickets. Eventually spoke to a guy with good English, he told us it is now illegal to even sell tickets at the ground on matchdays. He said we had to buy them at Gran Teatro (big theatre) about two miles down the road from the stadium. We had to trek two miles down the road and then two miles back up the road, we missed the first 15 because of the distance and the queues. So I would try to organise tickets asap.

Tickets in the curvas are pretty cheap. We got them for 12 euros in the curva nord (lazio end) so if you can get a ticket for the curva sud it should be pretty cheap. You'll need your euros for other things that weekend mate as it isn't cheap

ive been to a Lazio game before mate (vs Inter), superb weekend we had in Rome. We didnt pay a penny as my bro won the tickets on the old CH4 Gazetta Comp.) Stadio Olympico was chocka that Sunday, its mental with 100's of scooter boys before and after game. Just have yer wits around you as its not your normal mundane game you see over here!

Enjoy!

PS im a Roma man

That wasn’t the case when we went after the rugby last February.

The stadium was only about a sixth full. (It was late on a Saturday night, which is not their traditional time for football).

Went in kilts as we had come straight form the Italy v Scotland game, and were treated like celebrities.

I have been to see lazio 3 times I sat in Curva Nord no problem at all all the REAL Bams are directly behind the goals. Curva Nord about the same price as an SPL game.

You will have a great time Rome is without doubt my favourite City by far.

Cheers for the info guys. I might try and get tickets in one of the Distinti areas(Seperate North East/West)? It's the cheap seats but I might favour them if it avoids sitting beside bams :greengrin

Thanks again for the info.

Got the tickets no bother, 16 euros each. Ended up in the Curva Nord. The game was pretty dull but it was good to see the stadium and the atmosphere. There was only 25k at the game so we weren't crammed in with the bams but it was busy enough in our end to make it enjoyable.

Plus it was good to see Boruc picking the ball out the net again...twice :greengrin

Aye it was very good, we managed to fit a lot into the weekend. We even managed to see the pope give a speech at the Vatican.

I also got on a tram...and it moved :greengrin
