Maybe Calderwood is trying to start a "right back school" at Easter Road? :cool2:

Sure I started a thread/posted a couple of years back about him after watching him for Northampton. Remember being impressed.

With a major upheaval due in the summer we may be trying to do as much business as possible in this window to lessen the burden on the next window. It would also give guys time to settle into the club and build up an understanding with some of their new teammates before next season. If he is a former captain under CC Id imagine he has good leadership qualities and is trusted by him.

It may also be that we are lining people up for a transfer in the summer as clubs may not be keen to sell during the season.

Phillip Lamn and Dani Alves are 5'7 and finer full backs you won't see anywhere in the world.

Kenny Sansom.......he was like a bowling ball with legs but a fine left back.

As my missus tells me, don't worry hun size isn't everything :greengrin

Is there something you are not telling us?

She calls me many things scoopy, but given Andy Gray's recent troubles I will take the fifth on that one........I shall of course warn her to refrain from such verbal assaults in future. She is foreign however so it will be lost on her.

Seen him loads of times when he was with Northampton. Great wee (sorry average height) player. Used to bang in a few goals too! I think would be a good signing!

Someone obviously CC trusted and has worked with before. Knows what he can do and Crowe knows what CC wants.

From what I have read would be an experienced head with a few games behind him.
