Squiggler game I think.

I could be way off the mark here, but as far as derbies are concern, ive always been under the impression that they win most of the early kick offs, whereas we usually win most of the evening games.

Absolutely nothing to back that with tho.

This might help. All you need now is a calendar.

If it's before 3pm then it's an early kick-off. :agree:

Last game of last season. 2-0 away win against Dundee Utd. 1.30pm kick off but not on telly.

Don't know if this game counts as their first team were already at Hampden getting in shape for the SC Final.

Think you are right - the last 3 night derbies at Tynecastle that I can think of, we've won. Could even stretch that to 4 if you go back to 1999. In fact, I can't think of LOSING a night game at Tynecastle in a long, long time.

We beat the Huns 2-1 at ER when Riordan and O'Connor scored. Sure it was an early kick off as I recall having a shocker of a hangover and struggling to even make the game.

Was it not an early kick off when we beat them at tynecastle 1-0. Brian Kerr scored after 4 minutes?

Nah that was at night. It seems to me we usually beat Hearts at night... 0-3, 6-2, 1-2 Shiels, 1-0 Jones, 0-1 Kerr, 0-1 Riordan. In fact is it not right our last four wins at Tynecastle have all been after 6pm?

Edit: last five wins at Tynecastle if you count the CIS semi...

I thought it was a "daytime" kick-off too but if this is the match then Soccerbase have it listed as an evening kick-off. I think Soccerbase are wrong as I remember it being a sunny day and no floodlights.

It was in summer so it would've still been light pretty late, however it was absolutely not a 19:45 KO as stated on there.

Personally I think it was a 2:00pm or 4:00pm at the latest.

Thing is i'm sure our record against Hearts in evening games is really good... the ones i can think off the top my head.. 1-0 at PBS Deeks penalty, 2-1 at PBS GO'C and Deano, 1-0 Brian Kerr at PBS, 1-0 at ER in the CIS Killen, the 6-2 game was an evening kick-off.. can't really think of many evening games we've lost against them.:greengrin
