Assuming we will lose up to £2m if we are relegated, then now is the time to break the bank up to that amount to ensure we don't. Rooney should be signed now and another few, this would also be a rebuilding process, which would bring the crowds back and hopefully fill the stadium on a regular basis, I bet if we were doing as well as Hearts the crowds would be nearly doubled, I makes financial sense PETRIE an answer please.

Butcher said ICT made a loss of £1.5M due to relegation im sure we would lose more than double that! Surely it's worth spending around £500k on a few players to ensure our survival

The trouble would be if we spend say, £1m and still go down.
Then we're even worse off.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Although, one of the options at least gives us a fighting chance.

true but with the quality of the SPL being so poor bringing in say even 3 players at £150K each should make a difference.

Theres no right or wrong answer and spending money is no guarantee that we'll stay up but IMO it's a risk the board need to take.
