does anyone else remember Mowbray allegedly trying to sign him 2005/2006 when he was banging goals in at Crewe ?

Yes. And I remember him as a 21 year old banging in the goals for Leigh RMI in 99/00 when we won the UniBond League and again the following season when he was in the top five players in the Conference. The £130,000 from Crewe came in very handy.

Very surreal to see an ex-Leigh player playing against Hibs though!
