Well after another defeat i was speaking to one of my mates who is very firmly in the get CC OOT camp!

Personally, i think the reason we have got so many problems is that we have gone through so many managers recently that CC has been left with the dregs of each managers playing pools.

However, the question that he could not answer or all the people calling for CC's head seem to not offer a suggestion for is, who would we get in to replace CC?

Definitely wouldn't get rid of Calderwood.

I would however get rid of the players who inhabit George Street, nightclubs, bookies and casinos, instead of having moral fibre, getting themselves into the gym and onto the training pitch for a full day, 4 days a week, and being utterly professional to salvage pride and our SPL place.......regardless of whether he (or they) is/are a top player or not

There is NO professional pride at Hibernian Football Club.

If I were Rod Petrie I would also open the doors of East Mains to fans, let us see the "effort on the training pitch" that our managers seem to drone on about, and as they do in Italy, let the fans give them it tight if they "walk off the training ground"

i agree that changing the manager all the time is not the best way forward but its also not a good reason to keep a manager that is not getting results every case should be looked at individually

I am absolutely serious.

There is nothing that would give any other side in the SPL an advantage, given we know each others squads, teams and set ups.

Throwing open the doors a couple of days a week would keep the players on their toes, and would show them that there is no hiding place for not showing real energy and effort.

They do it in Spain and Italy and it also can cement a relationship with fans and players if they see genuine effort and desire on show.

I think its a good idea but for some reason i cant see Hibs agreeing.

I am pretty sure that some good old fashioned public humiliation would put it up those work shy gits on our team just now !

I agree, it is an excellent idea. Worthwhile raising with the club.

I don't think Petrie will have to sack Calderwood. We have become such a joke that in a few games from now, his position will become so untenable that walking away will be inevitable.

Petrie or Calderwood - which one?

That is becoming more likely. What has to happen before we get to that situation? Hitting the bottom of the league or getting cutoff at the bottom?

I mean Calderwood but, to be perfectly honest, I've wanted Petrie out for a long time as well. I really couldn't give a toss about all the 'great' things he's revered for at ER. I'd rather we were a few million more in debt with a decent team than the 'fur coat and nae knickers' joke outfit that we have become.

There are + and - re Petrie. The plus side is known but negative always overlooked; largest debt in our history before assets sold, one relegation with another possible, transfers of key players at dubious times, lack of investment in team (regardless of recent statement) and poor manager choice/support.
