If this was some poor guy who had to work to support his family in this scenario then I could understand the leniency but a guy who drives a £70k tank at 90mph at a busy time of day should have had the book thrown at him. Poor show from the justice of the peace but no doubt she will receive a nice discount at House of Bruar.

Not the only guy that does it. Im not familiar with the road, is it 70 speed limit there ? If so, I drive the a1 everyday and that spped is nothing compared to what seem people are going at.

I was on the bypass in the 'fast' lane as it was reasonably busy in the 'slow' lane. I was going 70mph and there was a guy right up my arse behind me and he had the cheek to flash his lights at me.

I was reluctant to let him past because it wasn't ideal to get in the inside lane because it was busy and they were going a fair bit slower. I had to eventually though, it was getting dangerous because I had to keep checking my mirror every 2 seconds to check that the guy wasn't in my back seat.

Within 30 seconds of him going past me he was out of sight. 'king Rs whole :greengrin

He claims he couldn't work without a car, how about selling the £70k car buying a Skoda & using the extra money to get a driver who can keep within the speed limit.

Disgrace of a decision by the court!
