Noticed a link to this on the News now website. Colin apparently in for Phil Airey a young striker on loan.

Here is a profile from the NUFC site. Sounds a bit of a goal machine.

That was my problem with the strikers being linked, players like Nile Ranger were never going to happen but it got peoples hopes up.

IMO players like this that were in or around the reserves were as high profile as we were going to get, if it was someone on the brink of the first team they'd be going to a top championship club.

Would be great if we can get someone to share the goal scoring burden with deeks, however i have been hoping for a striker with more of a physical presence than a young inexperienced player learning his trade so hopefully we're in for this guy and others.

If he`s played up front on his own, is he the Lone Ranger????

Or if he does come to us, will he be the Loan Ranger too????

:greengrin Aye, we don't seem to be any good at sealing the deals ahead of other clubs. All our potential signings seem to evaporate! Either we are crap at negotiating or Hibs are just not an attractive prospect to sign for.

If it had been a few years ago our front line could've been Power Ranger. :greengrin

He made his debut as a substitute against Stevenage last week, no idea what he's like though!

think that the Lone Ranger was actually Rod Petrie. Neither of them could bear parting with silver.

Hopefully he can give our under pressure manager some breathing space.
