David Crawford Named U19 league rising star...voted by all the U19 coaches in the league on MOM performances over season.

Nice to see we are still producing good players...might upset the doom mongers though:wink:

I saw that a little bit earlier today, I've never heard of the lad to be honest but obviously he's got a bit of talent. Good stuff....

Get him in the first team....who needs Freddy Adu!:greengrin

What position does he play? It doesn't say in the report.

Never seen him play but mentioned somewhere he is a striker or winger.

Fantastic for the young lad, yes get him blooded in the first team. If we only had a couple of seasoned pro's/leader on the pitch to guide the likes of him and all the other up and coming youngsters we have in our ranks.

Did we remember to take DNA swabs and clone Frank Sauzee, cryogenically freeze him? :taxi

He plays wide mid, I have seen him play on the left and the right - mainly on the left. He is a strong, fast lad with good feet.

Brooster, would he be an improvement on Galbraith?

I would be an improvement on Galbraith!! He is more of a midfielder than galbraith and certainly has more bottle - but thats not difficult.

Here we go. Some lad gets a mention in the paper for an award and he's already better than what we have. Soon Calderwood will obviously have a problem with him as he's not playing him.

Galbraith is pretty average to be honest. He needs to put on about 2 stone in muscle before he becomes a decent player.

Only on hibs.net can't we just be allowed to have a wee haven full of light?

:agree:

Every time I've watched Galbraith, he seems to get past the fullback (just!) He never seems to get totally away with beating his opponent,so the guy is always breathing down his neck The only option is to put in a cross whether or not there's any Hibs player in a position to get on the end of it.

Showing a bit more pace would allow him to take the ball closer in to the goalposts and create more options. JMO.

Never seen him play but someone mentioned wide usually on the left. Quite strong with good feet. Saying that he looks about 12 in his photo so might be a bit of a wait befroe hes playing first team.

I think he was an unused sub when the U19s won the Cup a year or so back. His family were sitting behind me giving it large whenever he was warming up :greengrin

Of course all that could be rubbish, so maybe someone with a better youth knowledge will know.

The times I saw him he was a winger, first season I saw him was when the 19s did the double and he was only involved now and again. I only caught a few games at the start of this season, and he looked much improved. Tricky and direct, and you could see defenders were worried about him.
