Anyone see them last night?

Not the best they've ever played by a long long way........ BUT still won 5-0 and Messi got another hat-trick!

In m life-time they're easily the best side. Any sides in the past that people could say are better?

they are oustanding - and DVDs / repeats of there games should be shown at our training centre. Work ethic from the whole side is incredible. Sure, there's outrageous talent in the side, but the work they put in is the basis for then going on and taken the game to the other side.

They're a pure joy to watch.

At the start of the season a mate of mine put £500 on them doing the La Liga, Cope Del Rey and Champions League treble. It's looking like money well spent.

Very early days and are not sure to win any IMO. Although they horsed Real they are still only 2 points clear I think so still a long way to go in all these competitions. The Champs league is incredibly competitive and their record in the Copa Del Rey isnt good either.

In saying that they are a fantastic team to watch and in Messi have an amazing talent.

Agree it's early days but i'd argue they are favourites to win each.

5-0 up after the 1st leg of the Copa Del Rey quarter final suggests a final appearance is likely.

2 points clear at the top of La Liga but since the stuttering start they just don't look like losing, no one has even come close really.

Champions League is undoubtedly competitive but they are by far the best team in the competition and if they play to their potential they have a great chance of winning it.

That's 27 games unbeaten, equaled the club record set in 1973/74. Awesome!

I wouldn't get too excited by the bet, United will sort them out in the 1/4 finals of the Champions League.

Absolutely - Chris Smalling will have Lionel Messi in has back pocket and Anderson/Fletcher will manage to contain Xavi and Iniesta without breaking a sweat.

Whilst all that's going on, Nani will run rings around Abidal and Rooney will bang 4 beyond 2 of the best defenders in the 2009/10 FIFA team. :agree:

And after ALL of that, Busquets, Villa, Pedro, Bojan and Keita (from the bench) will score 3 each :greengrin

I thought you might reply to that post. :greengrin

It was SLIGHTLY tongue-in-cheek stuff on my part!

Of course if Barcelona play like they can, throughout the rest of the season, then they will beat anyone that they come up against, Manchester United included. They are the best club side in the world, I have said that on numerous occasions in recent months, and, in Messi, they have the best player in the world as well.

However Barcelona and Manchester Utd did both qualify for the last 16 with the same number of points from their group. Their "goals for" stats in Europe and in Spain are quite good though! :greengrin

United are undefeated in their domestic league this season and that's not something that Barcelona can say. :na na:

If Barcelona were playing dross like Wolves, West Ham, Wigan, West Brom, Liverpool, Fulham etc, they could say the same

We'll still be in Europe after you lot have gone:greengrin

Seriously though, the last couple of United performances don't suggest to me that Messi and co will be biting the old fingernails. You should just about beat Marseilles, though.

I'm not taking sides, I don't have an "English team" (anyone but Arsenal for me actually) but how many should Sol Bamba have put past City though last week!!

I think you will find they have won the Copa Del Rey 25 times, more than any other team.

No sure but the commentator said they had scored 3 goals in half their games this season!

Still not sure if they put a man on the post when they defend corners though! :o)

yes, at least 3 goals in half their games.

Messi has been poor with his finishing tonight, terrible really

Think they'll get at least 2 in the 2nd half.

I think it's eight already this season where they've scored five or more. Looks like it'll be nine after tonight.

The other thing about them is that they don't concede many goals - only ten in eighteen league games so far.

they seems to do the business up to 5 then start toying and giving squad players a run out.

probably win 5 or 6 nil Ok but I've just taken the half time odds of 8/1 on them reaching 9 or more corners...only 2 at H/T but I'm confident....:greengrin

Messi not at his usual standard, agreed. Will still score tho you'd think?

Messi, Xavi and Iniesta get the plaudits but the likes of Pedro and Busquets are amazing as well.
