Ex-boxer Gary Mason has been killed in a road accident....tragic.

Loved watching boxing around this era, for me it was the glory years.

Rip big man.

Was shocked when i saw this news this morning.

Met Gary at a Ricky Hatton fight in Manchester about 4 or 5 years ago and he was an absolute gentleman to talk to that night. Spent ages telling tales about making his way up the ladder on the domestic circuit years ago and how it could be a gritty business. His only loss was to Lennox Lewis in the early 90s which is nothing to be ashamed off. I'm sure he also had a short lived rugby league career although i could be making that up.

RIP to a great British champion who had unbelievable heart and desire.
