3 - 1 to Hibernian, bigger club with much bigger support, in their recently completed stadium, at home and about to turn round a rather lean spell by playing some sublime football at times in this tough cup tie.

Thanks Monktonharp i can feel the tension easing already. In fact I've already forgotten all about Ross County, Dunfermline, Livingston, Montrose, QoS, Stirling Albion, Morton (not all at home granted).:aok:

Last time I saw Ayr at ER we scored 8!

I fully expect this to happen again. :agree: :fibber:

Swine flu is doing the rounds, you might not have to go in to work on Monday. I hope this helps.

I remember that!, it was the first game after the league cup win against smellytic, Ally McLeod then manager of Ayr said after it that it was the most breath taking attacking football he had ever been involved in :greengrin

Don't think it will be a high scoring game. Hibs will win the tie but by a narrow margin, maybe 2-1.
Don't know much about Ayr as a team but Hibs should know they will be up for a fight. Come the end of the match, Hibs will know they have had to fight for the win.:bye:

I've got a better idea............................. Calderwood hammers it into them before the game that they are in for a fight.
