Major rebuilding to be done in the summer - the worrying thing is we don't have anyone to build a team around.

However as I said I doubt we'll keep the ones I mentioned earlier so there is no spine to build a team around so massive test for Calderwood and the board coming up that will probably shape the fortunes of the team for the next few years. However I'm sure they know this so should be working their socks off to make sure they get it right.

Hart - I'm in two minds. Hopefully McCann shines at RB. If he does, punt Hart (he's not impressed me). Replace him and promote a young guy.

Whilst the majority would long to see Hart and de Graaf released (and I would concur) it's not going to happen. Both are high earners with 18 months remaining on their contract. Far too expensive to release.

We find ourselves in a position where we have a skip-load of players who could be ditched at the same time - but is it a good idea to make such dramatic change so quickly? Would the manager be able to assemble the number of quality (or at least, better than the people they're replacing) players that would be needed? Would it be better to hang onto some of the questionable ones in the short-term, and gradually replace them with quality? Is it possible that a couple of carefully considered,key changes might release some quality in the players that we already have?

For the first time since I've been watching Hibs, I feel no real enthusiasm for the majority of the players, and that's probably the result of the revolving door of players and managers over the past few years. Would acquiring a job-lot of even more flotsam and jetsom really improve things?

I am undecided on a handful - I think we could get more out of Thicot in midfield, and I would try De Graf in other positiions, maybe RB even. I remember when McLeish swapped Sauzee and Jack around and they were both better the following season as a result - maybe there is potential there.

Along with Bamba's wages, the above lot should free up at least £20k a week in wages, which should be enough to sign a new backup GK, a commanding CB, a LB, a CM and a target man. If we can afford it, I'd bring Sproule back as well.

That should cut the first team squad to about 19/20, leaving some room for youngsters to break through.

Personally I would like to keep Deek but I think "release" means release or sell so presumably people want to sell him before he walks for nothing or they don't think he is worth the wages that we will need to pay to keep him.

I'd rather keep him until at least the end of the season.

I know it's against the "rules" but can someone who's keeping Duffy/Trakys or Byrne and releasing Riordan say why? It seems crazy to me!

We shouldnt release Miller, we should just make sure that there is sufficient movement in our play that he actaully gets an option to pass to. Miller is often made to look bad by his unwillingness to boot the ball in hope and ends up getting caught in possession due to the lack of movement by his team mates. He looks a much better player when we have plenty of movement down the flanks, hopefully the return of Zouma will bring the best out of Liam.
