With all the snow and cold out there is nothing better than raise your spirits with some reminders of the great history of our beloved Club! Here are some links to British Pathe newsreels first one is muted but showing life at easter road in the 1948. I don't know - just past the halfway in the Aberdeen Cup-tie clip, there's a nice shot of me in my usual place, full of the joys.

Of course, I had more hair in those days.... :greengrin

Aye, but packed into a crowd like that we were toastie warm.

I like the comment about the 'light and lively ball'. Aye, right. :rolleyes:

Heading one of those was like nutting a concrete wall.

A stormy encounter with Austria with Hibs players in the Scots line up, check Gordon Smith getting punched by a spectator later on in the game :crazy:

I used to play in goals doon at Wardie in conditions like that Doddie and when the baw hit ye on the bare leg.......oooh yah fkrrr

Curiously a stronger team was fielded for that match than the World Cup match a year earlier.
