Just been watching some old stuff on Hibs TV but there doesn't seem to be any of Joe Bakers goals against Hertz or Pat Quin's only senior hat trick (against Hertz), does anyone know if there is any video of some of these goals ?:greengrin

Another good one.
There was many a joke about Arthur but he scored a lot of goals against the Hertz.

I hope the younger ones watching these videos appreciate the little pockets that appear in the crowd when a goal is scored.

One side cheering whilst the other has to put up with it.

So wiz I! In the enclosure, down at the wall, just a few yards behind where Willie took his shot. I can remember all the Hearts defenders including Cruikshank moving out in expectation of a cross.:greengrin The angle of Willies shot was far more narrower than it appears on the vid.

Was at the other end of the ground that day for some reason, so from my view WH was almost in the crowd when he hit that one :greengrin Would love to see a Sky Sports "goaline angle" of where he actually was when he hit that one.

Thanks for this. Two typical Joe Baker goals, first an instinctive reaction & 2nd, pace, strength & a cool finish. You may also note that for Yams equaliser their corner is taken by none other than the great Gordon Smith, from the right touchline with his left foot!! Can you imagine a modern day footballer taking set pieces with anything other than their favoured foot?
Joe of course only scored 42 league goals that season & we were crap, well average at best! At one stage he scored in 10 consecutive games, 20 goals in all!
