Heading over there for a spell tommorow and would appreciate any pointers as to where to catch games, especially the New Year One!

If anyone has any info a PM would be muchly appreciated. :agree:

I'm not...but I've been so if nobody has any better info....

The Hobart Casino is near Sandy Bay where I unfortunately :greengrin had to pass some hours to ensure I was up for an early flight back to Melbourne.

Would imagine they'll have numerous screens there so it's a possibility.

If you are on hols make sure you go a trip up into the mountains, beautiful place. Can't recall teh name but I also went to one of the large dams and you can get taken right inside the structure to see what's going on, scares the sh** out of you....:cool2:

Was over there for the derby (0-0 draw) in Jan 2009. My brother had checked the Setanta website to see where was showing the game and lo and behold, the pub just down from our hotel was the only one on the island :greengrin or so we thought :boo hoo: It wasn't busy enough for them to stay open so we had to resort to watching the live text updates on the BBC website, in a internet cafe in a hotel foyer, whilst feeding the bloody thing with $ :grr: So, in summary, check the website out and keep your fingers crossed

You'll love Tassie. I recovered from our CIS Cup Final defeat there for a week in 2004. Hobart, Launceston, Zeehan - I saw most of the island and had a great time!
