2nd blast in NZ mine

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-pacific-11662533 All 29 miners trapped in a New Zealand coal pit since Friday are believed to be dead after a second explosion. Sad day for all the relatives. A friend of MRS H18sry mate was the miner from ST Andrews. My thoughts go out to all the family and friends of the deceased miners RIP.

I'd speculate that the story of the Chilean miners would have given them/the families a lot of hope and they probably expected things to be fine which will have made this all the more devestating (if it can be).

Not good news and it doesn't sound like there will be another miracle here.

RIP. Yes, everyone was hopeful but wary of getting their hopes up too high. The families have described news of the 2nd explosion as a kick in the guts. I can't even imagine.
