Sad news that Peter Monteith the racehorse trainer (Rosewell) has died apparantly commiting suicide. RIP

Sad news, I backed Dizzy when it won at Cheltenham in 1994 and cheered it every step of the way, watching on bookies TV.

Saw him at Musselburgh quite often and fair to say he was never the happy smiley face you would have hoped for and he always looked to me to be rather introverted.

Think he perhaps could have done much better had he moved down south but seemed happy with his lot out at Rosewell.

Big miss to the Scottish Racing scene though, not many bring home the bacon from Cheltenham...:top marks

Dizzy cost me a few quid by pipping Diplomatic on the line that day. Had a good few quid ew on the 2nd @ 16s, had it in my mind it was the fav for some reason.
Anyway v bad news re PM.
