Whats going on this season? What happened to the likes of Parkhead, Ibrox, ER, PBS etc all being fortresses?

Anyone any idea why almost every team in the SPL has better away form than home form? St Mirren and Aberdeen are the only teams who can say with any certainty after 12 games that their Home form has been better than away form.

Just something that I had been aware of and then when I actually looked at the table I was pretty amazed tbh.

If you compare to the EPL...

Then almost the opposite is true.

I expect that teams home results will improve in the SPL over the course of the season but after 12 its quite odd to see.

Perhaps the tactics that SPL managers employ to sit in away from home? Home fans being impatient and urging their team forward only to be suckered time after time? Anyone else noticed the trend in the results or is it just me:greengrin

P>S...get yer dough on away wins this season, usually better odds:wink:

It's cos us Scottish fans are so impatient and scathing on the players than they enjoy playing away from home, they will probably get a little less flack. Which is extraordinary.

We give our own players more abuse at ER than we have any opposition team or individual player for the last 3 season..

Also, we get better results when it's dark, in midweek. This has led to two things: (1) a far better record in the Diddy Cup than the Big Cup, as proportionately more Diddy matches are played in midweek, and (2) us introducing floodlights to the game, so that spectators can more easily pick out exactly which Hibs players to abuse.

We also continually criticise our fellow Hibs supporters more than any other support.
