What about next week though? More injury prone than Daniel Prodan. Great player though, must be really annoying for the gooners fans.

Apparently wenger is furious about him being called up to dutch squad without playing a game for arsenal in 3 months.

Being a big Arsenal fan, im glad he is back.. And think the dutch are taking the p*ss a little by calling him up. If he was ready he would have been back in the Arsenal squad by now and playing. Hope he gets a good run of games. Gunners looking strong this year with all the talent

It's getting to the stage when VP will be surplus to requirements.

nah that can't be right, if there's one thing Wengers not, it's a whiner.

Disagree with that. Chamakh and Vela have still to prove themselves; Arshavin has been off the boil for a good while now; Walcott still a long way from being the finished article; and don't think Bendtner has enough basic football skill to ever be a permanent member of an Arsenal first team playing the way it likes to play. Nasri is the only attacker firing on all cylinders just now, imo.

Always sees the incidents he wants to whine about but never sees the incidents that others want to whine about! :agree:

They don't play in the same position - would Bale be a good 2nd striker - who knows??

And, on his day, RVP is a match for Gareth Bale, but I'll give you the Bale is ***** hot at the moment. A great player :agree:

Im not that big a fan of him tbh. Hes a good player, wouldnt disagree with that, but think he can be a bit hit and miss.

Every season we also hear that Arsenal will only ever do anything if they can keep RVP fit, and usually around that point he gets injured and is then in and out of the team for the rest of the season.

I kind of agree with the person who said he is getting close to being surplus to requirements (although it could have been worded better). They need a first choice striker who they can rely on, who will play the majority of games every season! Bendtner and Vela are decent back up (although both are very inconsistant) and Chamakhs good competition for the striker, but they dont have that dominant forward like the other clubs eg Torres/Drogba/Rooney (Torres is having problems with injury though).

Bendtner is coming on a bundle now. If he can steer clear of injury he'll be a big player this year. I was never his biggest fan but he really started to show huge signs of improvement last season.
