We're going to Paris again for a few days in November and we fancy a change from our usual hotel.

I'd be very grateful for any recommendations.

I've used this one before and found it perfectly acceptable.

Me and the other half have stayed here three times now:

Cheap, quiet, 5mins (or less) to Gare du Nord. Starts at 77 euro a night and they do four nights for the price of three. Small rooms but that's not unusual en Par-ee...

Budget hotel in interesting Villette district of North Paris, near Science park and wonderful Parc des Buttes Chaumont. It's by Ourcq Metro station. bedroom/kitchenette/shower.

Don't have the phone number sorry. Actually I just found it - 0140036752.

Thanks folks.

I finally stumped for Hotel Est (http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g187147-d282315-Reviews-Est_Hotel_Paris-Paris_Ile_de_France.html) which gets a pretty good review on Tripadvisor.

It's rated at 782 out of 1839 hotels in Paris and we got it for a total of £99 for 2 nights room only.

My usual Paris abode is 1,564th and it's perfectly reasonable so I'm very optimistic about Est Hotel.

I'll let you know.
