Another Sunday night, another night of Hockey. This time the Capitals meet their new Scottish rivals, Braehead, for the first ever time.

Be there or be square.

I might go to this, could get some great banter with the rival fans

I think this is going to be a tricky one. We aren't going to turn them over quite as easily as we did the Vipers.

But at least we should have one more D man back, depending on what the physio says this week.

Well, we didn't play too badly through the first period yesterday and were deserving of our lead at one point. Fell to pieces and tossed away 5 in the 2nd/3rd periods though, to leave us still looking for our first win.

Bring on Nottingham....:paranoid:

Maybe will be a closer scoreline than last time with the Panthers having a tricky game against Edinburgh tonight and a road trip tomorrow.

For anyone who want text updates on the Nottingham v Edinburgh clash tonight (and most other games involving the Panthers), here's a link to a service a mate runs.

Not a great weekend for the Caps unfortunately with an 8-2 defeat in Nottingham on Saturday followed by a 4-6 reverse at Murrayfield to Braehead last night.

Incidentally the clash between Dundee and Nottingham at Dundee last night collected over 1000 'viewers' for the Internet text update service I mentioned above. Not bad!

Ended up being quite a good game last night actually, despite the final scoreline!

0-0-13 doesn't make for nice reading though :greengrin

Well 4-7 sounds an interesting scoreline! It reads from the report that Nottingham had to work very hard for their victory. Fair play to Dundee.

I really think that with three Scottish teams now in the Elite League, they should do something about bringing back the old Scottish 'double-header' weekends of the past. The Panthers didn't return to Nottingham with many points from those in the old days!

FINALLY Dundee got their first win on Thursday night, trouncing the Cardiff Devils 7-3

I watched my first ever Ice Hockey match last night. Got free tickets to MK Lightning vs Peterborough Phantoms. Do Edinburgh play in the same league, or a different league to MK?

Argh.. Meant to go to Murrayfield tonight to see the Panthers do the biz!!

One of my favourite past times as a kid growing up in Nottingham, going to Nottingham Ice Rink. My how that place has changed too, brilliant arena.

Cracking game by all accounts, I missed it too in the end (not like me). You should get to Murrayfield more often to make the Caps your second team while you're here!

Agree, it's a very good place to go and watch the hockey, especially in UK terms. The atmosphere in the old place was something else though wasn't it!
