does anyone know of , or could recommend somebody who could possibly repair my dads grandfather clock, its been in the family for yonks , and has suddenly stopped working , would really like to try and do something for him for christmas, cheers

You might want to try James Ritchie & sons, Dundas St.
They're they ones that look after the 'important' public clocks of Edinburgh but when you go in their shop they have a wide selection of repaired old clocks so they're obviously half decent!
