Clarke MacArthur of the undefeated, 4-0 Maple Leafs has 2 more goals than the entire Calgary Flames team :greengrin

Yeah, Dion Phaneuf really was the problem there...

GO LEAFS, GO!

(I'm done trolling now.)

...As the Pens stutter to their first ever win at the CONSOL Center needing OT to get past the Islanders.

Not seen much NHL this season yet, moved house and had to get rid of Sky. Cable getting installed in 3 weeks though so I can get my ESPN fix once more!

Less than impressive 2-1-1 start for the Wings, being hammered by Dallas last night, 4-1.

Early days though!

Progress from an 0-7-1 start last year! Bruins may have to settle for the third selection overall in next years draft if things keep going like this :greengrin

Happy with the Islanders start considering we're missing Okposo, Streit and Tavares. Bruno Gervais has looked good! Think the Blackhawks will win the cup second year running even with their player losses.

This thread never really got off the ground this year.

Just finished watching game 2 of the Stanley Cup finals, with the Canucks beating the Bruins 3-2, scoring 11 seconds into OT to take the game.

Vancouver have never won the Cup in their franchise 40 year history but lead the series 2-0, as game 3 heads to Boston in a few days.

I'm probably the least excited about this series than any Finals I've ever seen. Two deeply unlikeable teams.

With Boston only just being the marginally more likeable of the two.
Vancouver .... Canada's team my arse!

Hopefully a sign that Vancouver are about to do their usual "choke at the vital moment" routine again!

The only Canadians I know who want the Canucks to win are Canucks fans. And a couple of Habs fans who really hate the Bruins.

If I had to, I'd pick Boston purely because of Tomas Kaberle, but they were classless in game 3 - and not for the first time this playoffs (I'm as in favour of giving the finger to the Habs as much as anyone, but really...)

And I can't stand Chara.

It says much that they're much more preferable to the diving, cheap shot artists of Burrows, Kesler, Luongo, Torres, Lapierre and Rome. Especially when you consider how much Kessel/Seguin/Rask idiocy I'd have to put up with if the Bruins did win.

4-0 to Boston going into the 3rd, Thomas has played a blinder. Looks like it is game on for game seven in Canada!

5-2 final score in Boston. Now the tricky part of going to Canada and winning...

Was sat in a bar / restaurant with the game on the background. Couldn't believe how quickly the B's scored.

Had to laugh when Marchand was "punching" Sedin repeatedly and he just stood there. Credit to Sedin for not retaliating. While not condoning what Marchand did, it was still funny to watch (since the punches being thrown weren't exactly haymakers).

Ah well - had no love for either team, but glad it stayed on the right side of the border

"It's the most wonderful time of the year" - the draft!

Glad the Bruins won the Cup - never really liked the Canadian teams. A lot to do with the media, as bad as ours with the lack of respect to "smaller" teams.
