will the length of contract depend on the experience of the manager?

i'd like to see the board, not only make the right decision, but to offer the manager contract until 2015.. it's time we stopped the rot and built a winning team which challenes for eurpoe and cups and set the right foundation by giving the manager time to do this..

we have for too long now went through managers too far a plenty, 1 manager, 1 vision, 1 long contract

What, like the five year deal that Yogi signed?

Carries the same dangers that putting players on big contracts has - that being that it costs a fortune to get rid of them if it doesn't work out.

Plus if they are successful and a bigger club comes in, a longer contract just means a bit more compensation.

Carries far more risk than potential reward imo.

It dose't matter how long his contract is if he's turns out to be half decent and proves himself there's a good chance he'd be moving down south. That's going to be the trouble with any up and coming manager.
