The term 'legend' is used quite a lot nowadays....but he's a legend and a half :agree:
RIP :boo hoo::boo hoo:

Sorry to go off on a tangent, but wouldn't the correct expression be "Norman Wisdom is a legend and a half.
Not was.
If you see what I mean.

I had the pleasure of meeting Norman Wisdom years ago, whilst on holiday.
Had my picture taken with him, no idea where it is now though.
Was sad to hear of his passing. Really nice to speak to

I couldn't stand his films for more than 10 minutes or so but he was such a familiar figure that I'll miss him.
I have a hilarious record which he did with Joyce Grenfell called the Narcissus Song. It suggests that he had talents other than falling about and playing the wee man.

From the Daily Mash news in brief section
Sir Norman Wisdom dies after hilarious fall
Comedy legend passed away after falling through roof onto conveyor belt, then ladder, through several sheets of glass and finally getting his coat hooked on a moving lorry.

As a youngster I thought he was superb.
I have a vague recollection of him doing some dangerous stunts on the Forth Bridge in one of his films but cant for the life of me recall the name of it.
Norman Wisdom will indeed endure as a legend, hopefully for many years to come.

He had a terrible childhood at the hands of an abusive father, but turned that round to be a dignified and funny comic. It's nice to see how much happiness he brought people.
