Gary Megson? Anyone know what the criteria we're looking for is? Would it happen to be the case that it's simply anyone who is out of work?

No way do I believe that Hibs would have a replacement lined up before Yogi had gone. Whatever else they are, they seem to be above board and professional with these types of things. Only exception was Rod meeting the players that I can think of.

I hope to god this is a wind up and not true!!

The football he played at the Reebok was nothing short of atrocious, have no idea why he was appointed there is the 1st place!

If you thought Yogi could empty a stadium, watch what this eejit is capable of.

No No No No:bitchy:

Not sure who we should go for as manager but I don't think we should sign yet another centre half, especially not one of Megson's age, He's well past it. :greengrin

Why would people turn down Megson who has bags of managerial experience at the highest level?, when people like Gareth Southgate are being welcomed with open arms...

Plays a very boring brand of football but would probably be successful. Depends on what's most important to you.

From somebody who endured the dross he presented as football at the Reebok, not to mention the weekly event of slagging off the club's fans in the press, believe us when we say he isn't even close to being good enough!

It appears to be true, He is waiving his right to a further 50k on his gardening leave. This is a disaster and I tell you something else. If it happens If I very rarely went under Yogi, I ll never go under that sausage.

Cannot imagine him motivating anyone. He would be the worst appointment out of ANY of the names mentioned so far.

Thanks, but no thanks:grr:

No I haven't, obviously with the exception of on here. Michael O'Neil from Shamrock Rovers is all I am hearing, but not necesarily great sources but certainly from people in the game and media...

Don't want Megson, don't want Southgate. Southgate's got bad teeth and the only thing Megson ever won was "Manager of the Month" about 5 years ago....

I'm all for Megson. It would be good to get a happy, cheery, bubbly type of guy at East Mains/Easter Road. As I recall, the Bolton fans loved him and were gutted to see him decide to move on.

It's a 'yes' from me.

Megson would be an outstanding appointment. Reknowned for his fast flowing attacking football, with a cutting edge; premiership experience, ginger hair and knows what it's like to be unemployed for prolonged periods of time so will really identify with the core boo-boys.

Loves his music as well, so in the changing room it would be certain that Meggers Plays Pop.

Petrie's finest hour, if we can land Mr. Megson.
