What do the board look for in a candidate? All people do is chuck names about based on track record. or "standing" in the game whatever that means. Why don't the board start to think outside of the box and go for a woman.

Think outside the box? That'd be great. Never known a football team to be led in any such way.

It'd be good though. Fundamentally, management is all about getting the best out of your players. The day to day stuff (coaching, identifying targets, tactical planning) can all be left to well qualified coaches. At the end of the day, the manager is there to inspire and motivate.

Surely you're not suggesting Margaret Thatcher?! :greengrin

Same as most of the rest of us on here, picks the team every week, tells them all what to do on Saturday, watches from afar, waves his arms about and shouts and swears from the touchline - then a bit of comedy in the after match interviews, I think it's what they all do. :greengrin
