Don't know one in Glasgow but there is a good one in Edinburgh who could do the work for you at very reasonable rates!

£1000 doesn't seem too far off the mark to me. I've copied the fees I paid below. This was a London based solicitor so unfortunately not much use for your place in Glasgow. Some solicitors charge separately for individual phone calls and letters which can add up.
All the best with the move.
Estimate of fees on the purchase of To be advised
As requested, I set out below an estimate of our fees and disbursements for acting in connection with your proposed purchase.
These are all of our fees – there are no extra charges. We confirm that we do not make additional charges for expediting completions or for postages and telephone calls. This makes us different from other solicitors who will generally advertise a low fee but then charge additional work which means that the fees you eventually pay are much more than the initial advertised low fee.
Fees 695.00
Admin fee for completion TT 35.00
Admin fee for SDLT form 50.00
VAT 117.00
Stamp Duty 0.00
H M Land Registry fee 200.00
Environmental and Chancel check 58.31
Land Registry & Land Charge
Search fee 10.00
Total 1,165.31

Cheers for the info and for the person that sent a PM!
I was imagining it would cost around £1000 but had heard of people getting it done a few hundred cheaper, mostly im looking to avoid any hidden charges so that i know what im paying from the get go!

I've used The Lints Partnership recently and will use them again. Very good and the price quoted was the price paid.
