I agree, Sauzee should never have been sacked.

What point are you trying to make?

The point being? All mangers can have a bad run of form given certain conditions? Managers should be backed beyond that if the bigger picture is taken into account?

Sauzee shouldn't have been sacked but it needs to be remembered that he didn't win a single league game and so there was never an alternative period where you could point to better.

You could take Hughes' start at the club and suggest he stands up there with the top Hibs managers of all time if that's what you wanted to do.

Christ, i would have thought the devil face :devil: would show that there was a tongue in cheek aspect to this thread. The comparison to Sauzee is purely for dramatic effect. :cool2:

A "bad run of form" usually lasts 5/6 games...

All managers who are sacked/ have their contracts "mutually terminated" may have had a good period of fortune, as yogi has had, but we havent really been playing well under him, even when we were winning last season. Yes we were winning but the football wasnt really that enjoyable IMHO.

We got lucky, really. The only times i can think we played good football and dominated proceedings were away to Motherwell (3-1) and Rangers (1-1), and at home to Dundee Utd (first game) and Motherwell (2-0).

I dont like his attitude, bully mentallity and his handling of media. His reponses to the fans are shocking and he has won 4 games since January. Whether that is down to confidence or whatever it is his job to MANAGE these players and get them playing football. If the players dont want to play for him and have no passion playing for him then why is he here?

How many wins actually ever involve a team totally dominating? The majority of wins are simply occassions where the winning team won, created enough chances to be feel the result was justified, and everyone goes away happy. At the same time, the opposition feel that they could have won the game had they taken thier chances, but will usually concede that on the balance of play that the better team won That doesn't constitute domination, but it does constitute a fair result.

We had a lot of fair results at the start of last season, we had a couple of games where we totally dominated, but we didn't often simply scrape through as you seem to be suggesting. Had we taken our chances against Inverness, winning by a goal, or maybe two, that would have been a fair win, without being dominant, nor scraping through.

:agree::agree::agree:.

Totally agree with you. We were never in danger and the board reacted way to soon.
