As they change they will be fickle so I'd probably play them something like Bohemian Rhapsody which also changes.

excellent thread, appalling that it has been thus far ignored...i'd say more likey to be something by alexander scriabin (russian composer around 1900), who had synesthesia and used to have screens with changing colours to accompany his music.

Chameleons are sensitive to vibrations as well as airborne sounds, so I'm thinking of something recorded by the Beach Boys.

You could play them Layla by Derek and the Dominoes which has a slow ending after the previous dynamics. Beware though, if played at the end of the night the chameleons may attempt to grab each other for a grapple on the dance floor and pair off into into Ford Capris.
