The boys wont be at home for about a month so what we do as a support will be ringing in their ears as they carry the fight into enemy territory!

The Hibs 12th Man did a wee Google search of crowd reactions around the world over the last week or so. The results were predictable. The crowds gets behind a team, the team gets a lift, the team plays better.

You don’t have to tell us we are not getting the results we would all like, we know that!

But the Hibs support has a role to play that is every bit as important as the players on the hallowed turf of our home. Our performance is every bit as important as the players.

Don’t let the side down, lets play our part with pride and passion.

Enjoy the match fellow Hibees!

“It will be a tough atmosphere on Saturday because I know the Carlisle supporters are fantastic and will be behind the team. They can be like a 12th man.”

It needs to sound louder than a jet engine in that mug whenever the defense steps on the field, and quieter than death when it isn’t. That’s the essence of the 12th man.

With a stagnant offense, the defense was impacted as well. They were no longer able to take risks and implement the aggressive style they thrive in. Eventually, that led to a lack of big plays on both sides of the ball, which refrained them from stopping the Seahawks' momentum and thus containing the effect of the stadium's "12th man."

Despite being herded like cattle all day and being in the stadium from 6.30pm, the visiting support drowned out the home crowd from before the kick-off until long after the final whistle.

Davis, who had several friends and family members in the away section, reckons they were a 12th man for the Scottish champions.

He beamed: “The fans were absolutely brilliant. They put up with a lot of inconvenience and hassle to get to Old Trafford yesterday, but were in great voice.

“On the pitch, it was difficult to hear each other because our fans were making so much noise. If we get that kind of following most weeks it’s like a 12th man.

************************************************** *********

“I’m sure those fans have gone home and told their friends what a great day it was. It would be good to get a few more in at home. If we get that noise at Brunton Park it will be brilliant.”

“I don’t think the Jets fans are going to leave early,” said Brady. “Communication is always an issue.”

Now this might come as a stab in the chest to diehard Pats fans who loathe the Jets, but Brady definitely has a point to be made here. Sure, the win was big, but what’s a victory if the Foxboro faithful are hitting the highway. The Meadowlands crowd is a menacing 12th man, which was ever so apparent during New England’s unsuccessful fourth quarter drive last year in week 2.

Senior defensive tackle Brandon Kirksey said fans also would have to do their part to help the Gophers pull off the upset. Minnesota's student section was relatively full against South Dakota, but the announced crowd of 49,554 Saturday was the first non-sellout at TCF Bank Stadium. Capacity is 50,805.

Kirksey, a defensive captain, called the fans that chanted "Fire Brewster!" after the shocking loss "outsiders looking in," and said, "They don't know anything.

"I feel like that was poor for our fans to say such things like that," Kirksey said. "We always talk about the 12th man on the field. If they want to see good things out of the team, it has to come from us. But it also comes from the fan support."
