On Channel 5 now, looking at technology to help refs/rid the game of mistakes.

Everyone goes on about goal line technology but the best idea i heard over the summer was the old boy that suggested putting a slight slope behind the goal line, not steep enough so the keepers or defenders would fall down it but just a slight one so that if the ball hits it, it would bounce into the net.

Every team in the world could have it with next to no cost and there's no faffing about waiting on decisions.
