Just watched Burnley-Preston NE match (4-3 Burnley) and Chris Iwelumo scored a rather nice hat-trick for Burnley. Two excellent second-half strikes to equalise from 3-1 down, one with his right foot, one with his head.

Maybe playing him (he's a big lad, good in the air) with Fletcher and Deek playing off him might pay more dividends than playing the Heidless Chicken and Lardass Boyd against the Czechs?

Has he played for Hearts, Dundee Utd or the Old Firm??

Important stuff in Potter-world.

Pity the Preston No11 hasn't got a Scot's granny .
When did you last see a two ffooted winger ?
Notice the "hoof ball" by both teams

He was impressive. :agree:

What struck me about Iwelumo was that he's been singled out for blame for missing chances - not least by George Peat - but tonight he looked sharp and mobile, a big strong centre-forward who couldn't be said to be 'world-class', but one who looked willing to work, running the channels and not a bad first touch when the ball came to him. Those two second-half goals were well-taken, too.

He's just exactly the sort of striker that we could really do with at ER. Out of our range, unfortunately.
