Ha ha - must've been ays big nose that's why his wife married him.
I'm going to tell him he had an admirer - even he won't believe it.
She doesn't know much about football...but she'd always stop in her tracks when John Collins used to speak.
I don't know if it's that twang he had or his amazing body for someone that age.
but he won the league cup for us so I couldn't care less!
...and that penalty in 1998!

Many years ago the missus seemed strangely attracted to a young John Collins, I told her he would never amount to anything and to forget about it.
These days we still have a fridge magnet with him in his younger days stuck on the fridge door, post his managerial departure I have felt my job has been to make sure it is turned upside down as often as possible but it seems to right itself somehow............perplexing,could it be that however bad it gets he always comes out the right way up?

A bit off-topic, but during the World Cup my girlfriend expressed disbelief that I thought Bastian Schweinsteiger (http://img.skysports.com/08/10/218x298/BastianSchweinsteiger_1285683.jpg) was spectacularly ugly. She is German, so maybe it was misplaced patriotism, but it made me think: if she doesn't think Schweini is ugly, then I must look like some sort of golden Adonis. I can live with that.

The wife had a bit of a thing for Franck and Paco Luna, which started after she got dragged to the AEK game at ER...cannæ blame the lassie I suppose.:thumbsup:

My missus was at a sponsors' evening at ER with me and we got into conversation with CB. Afterwards I asked if she now understood why the other players called him George Clooney. She responded with, "Oh my God!! Brewster's far, far better looking than him!!"
She didn't get to go back until Brewster left. :wink:
PS. She hated Katie's blond hair, black stubble look so she isn't too bad.
After all she married the Adonis-like me. :faf:
