Cracking player on his day, but injury problems around the time he was at Hibs made me wonder if he would be able to maintain a football career.

Hopefully he's over it all, and he can go on from here - it would be a waste of a real entertainer at the very least.

Chadwick would do a job for us in the midfield/wide right, better player than that league.

Stephens is playing at RCB for Wales U21 in Hungary. Looks like a tough shift for them already judging by the pictures via our Iraqi friends.

0-0 at half-time.

Wales have got a half-decent chance of qualifying, but really need at least a draw in this game.

Antonio Murray scored today - he was one of ours at one point wasn't he?

1-0 to Wales. Nicked a soft goal off an inocuous set play, against the run of play.

Stephens has played quite well, physically dominant, but has given the ball away in bad areas a couple of times and was given the slip once.

Is he no talking about Yantorno. Can't remember Doumbe having a serious injury.
Yantorno was different class with gretna and up till his injury was on course to great things. If he could have got it back while he was with us he would be right up there with Latapy.
Really hope he is over it all and can only wish him well.
Doumbe was a great player for us as well but did he no leave us with a bad taste in the mouth. Usual contract rubbish.

Wales miss pen, Hungary down to 10 men. Still 1-0.

Wales have played a lot better since scoring. Hungary have brought on a big boy up front who has caused Stephens more bother in the air.

Typical carragher scoring an O.G in his own testimonial.... scored a pen for livepool and also scored a pen for everton... liverpool won 4-1

FT Hungary u21 0-1 Wales u21

Cracking game in the end, great result for Wales u21.

They need just a point against Italy in midweek to qualify for the playoffs as group winners. They might sneak through as a best runner-up even if they lose.

Ivory Coast are thumping Rwanda (3-0 at half/time, Yaya Toure, Kalou and Eboue). No idea if Bamba is playing for them again.
