I think it is noteworthy because there were arguments about their merits after the tie. There was also a thread about whether Hibs should try to sign players from that market given their relatively low wages.

Jo Illic (No 27) was by far the best player on the park......and the one I suggested we pull out all the stops to sign.....fantastic player who has big future given his age and talent

That can't be ignored but it is noteworthy of how good a team they actually are also. The two players signed along with tavares were outstanding and it's nonsurprise they've been snapped up!

Wee bit disappointing that reaction and well you might boo-hoo.
Surely it's OK to maintain an interest in what they go on to do or don't do? Not like we get a lot of Euro opposition to discuss the merits of year after year.
Palermo have signed these two and I didn't know that...much more interesting than a lot of the p1sh to be found spouting around on here - 9 times out of 10 it's Look! Look! Hertz are crap / in meltdown / signing another Huddy look! kind of nonsense (e.g. see Toads post in this thread for needless reference to ex-Yam).
