...we're just poor.

Only one guy carries the can there, but as usual we can now settle down for another Petrie v The Manager mexican stand-off until Yogi empties his desk.

Hogg easy beat again with the ball in that led to the goal whilst we have a strapping central defender twiddling his thumb's on the bench and St Mirren have an average joe in their line up but one that as the required heart to do the job properly.

Alan Hansen would tell us you have to have a strong spine through your team. That's my concerns yet another lightweight performance at the back. Thicot is a bit part player at this club and was playing out of his position(albeit not at the goal)

Kyle will make mincemeat of him in the first derby game.

he's obviously not in Yogi's plans before today so he was never likely to come out and play out his skin with the window about to shut. Will be hoping/expecting to be freed IMHO.

I don't think we're poor. But Yogi constantly plays players out of position, which makes us look poor.

Thicot isn't a right back.
Riordan isn't a left midfielder.
Galbraith isn't a left back.
Wotherspoon isn't a right back.
oh, and Hogg isn't a captain.

We need to have a consistency in team selection, all this chopping and changing when players get suspended or injured is a joke. Instead of putting players in to compensate for the injured/suspended player, our manager just puts in any player he likes and hope they can sort out a formation.

Our team should be :

Brown (GK)

Hart (RB)
Stephens/Hogg (CB)
Bamba (CB)
Murray (LB)

Spoony/ De Graaf (RM)
Miller (CM)
McBride (CM)
Galbraith (LM)

Stokes (CF)
Riordan (CF)

If Mcbride or Miller get injured or suspended, dont sacrifice the midfield by putting Nish up front, put a central midfielder.... (Welsh/Currie/Rankin) in there, it will keep the balance of the team without swapping players positions.

Our team is ridiculously inconsitent with their performances, but our manager is even more inconsistent with his team selection.

100% agree, I can never understand why he will bring in a player to play in the wrong position, he must really not rate a lot of the guys in the team, to consistently shuffle people like he does.

Roy Hodgson said today, that he'd like to buy a player in the similar mould to torres, so that when torres isn't fit, they can keep the same formation. Why Yogi can't do that, just baffles me. McBride out, so play Rankin (even though he's rubbish too), and keep Riordan and Stokes who linked up so well last week together! Why on earth bring Nish into the mix at all?

Oh yes we are. Make no bones about it, Hibs are a mediocre to poor team, living on past reputation and freak results over the last few seasons which have flattered to deceive. We are going nowhere fast.

No we are not!

We are far worse than poor!

At the moment there are probably 5 players out that whole sqaud I would definitely keep

Bamba, Hanlon, Miller, Stokes and Riordan

2 of them will be away before the window shuts!

Hart, Stephens & Galbraith have shown promise, as has Wotherspoon albeit a long time ago and deserve a chance.

McBride, Zooma & Murray have in the past shown ability, although whether it remains? But are worthy of another chance.

For Hughes to have let the squad become so overblown with dross goalies and worse midfielders and so shorn of attacking options alone, even setting aside his other inadequacies should see him punted out the door now.

I know we cant keep changing managers, but we cant keep persevering with crap ones either.

Finishing 4th wasnt bad say his supporters, it wasnt that clever either in the worst SPL in living memory by the length of Leith Walk.

Having Byrne & McCann out on loan when we have no natural cover for their positions on the bench today is absolute madness.

One good thing about today is the penny seems to have dropped re Thicot, he is absolute murder

Agreed. We may struggle for height up front but our strongest line up and most significantly one that has not yet had a chance to play.

Funny how almost 50% of your five players want away from Hibs. As for your shout on Murray, McBride and Zuma could not disagree more. These guys have all given far more to hibs, over may previous seasons, and in fact as recently as one week ago, which is a huge amount more than the future selection section, and I would take any bets to say that they will continue to do over the season.

All of the above is of course IMO.

apart from two performances as a stand in centre half when has Thicot ever looked anything but mediocre ?

I still have flash backs to the shocker that Hogg & Thicot put together at Raith last pre-season, in an "after you - no after you" style letting in a Raith player for a tap in
