Turnstile Collection at Easter Road

Europa Cup action at Easter Road this month, marking the start of the 5th anniversary of the Dnipro Kids charity, saw the Dnipro Appeal Committee and supporters rattling buckets at the turnstiles. A thank you goes to Hibernian Football Club for allowing us to collect at the game, a thank you to all those that volunteered for the bucket shaking duties and a huge thank you to everyone that donated..

A total of £1,039 was collected on the night.

The next turnstile collection is scheduled for the Hibernian v Celtic match on the 15th of January and a good turn out of volunteers will be needed for this fixture.

New Slippers for Odinkovka

After a request from the director at the Odinkovka orphanage the children were provided with new slippers for wearing inside the orphanage. Most of the orphanage floors are concrete and, although tiled, they can get quite cold, as well as a bit dirty. The slippers are very important and, as you can imagine, need replaced more often than the orphanage can afford.

Dnipro Kids is now on Facebook.

Add them as a friend and keep updated.

Are you looking for donations of actual slippers or money so slippers can be bought over there?
Either way, how could I help? (I spent some time helping a Brazilian childrens home a few years ago and know just how much a new pair of footwear can bring a smile to a childs face).

We buy the slippers over there as courier costs and customs "delays" were not proving to be cost effective (even with items being donated for free).

There is a Paypal link on the dniprokids.com website for donations, or you can join our child sponsorship scheme and get regular updates on your sponsored child.
