Interesting article in the Scotsman about Saulius Mikoliunas regading the media outrage after his attempts to win a penalty at Hampden and the lack of a similar media response after McGregor's attempts to get Deeko sent-off last Sunday. Is this double standards by our west-coast based media?

The tubes over the road are getting on their high horses about everyone booing him. They seem to have forgoten that they themselves were giving him loads of stick until he tried to cheat against Scotland when he suddenly became flavour of the month at the PBS.

Mind you, they also conveniently forgot that they despised Mercer just about as much as we did but now he's some kind of hero to them.

He has a point and as it was against Scotland it seems the done thing was for national hate, seems you can getaway with it more if done at club level.

However both players are the same, the scale of the match is irrelevant McGregor is IMO worse than miko, Miko was a penalty attempt, McGregor was a direct sending off attempt.

Both phannies though I am sure we all agree.

To be fair, Mikolooneytunes actually cheated against Scotland. McGregor cheated against Hibs, a club that the country doesn't universally support.

Exactly.
Scotland = Huge Story
Hibs = tiny wee story.
Especially if that means slagging off a Rangers Internationlist :boo hoo:

Reading that article does bring everything into context of how much the OF ruin our game, on and off the park!

there is no way the media would have hung Miko out to dry if it was a OF player, not in a million years. When you think back to O'Neill's Celtic team, they played for set pieces and threw themselves to the ground all over the place, just so Alan Thompson could swing in a free kick - but not a word said of it!!!!!!

However stupid Jambo tw@ts forgetting how they went through a 3/4 month campaign of booing all Lithuanian players because the fans thought they got picked by Vlad, if anyone chased Miko out the club, it was them
